Description of Volunteer Opportunities/Responsibilities:
Reach Out and Read
CRHS is always looking for volunteers to read to children in our waiting rooms in both English and Spanish through our "Reach Out and Read" program. Reach Out and Read is a national non-profit organization that promotes early literacy by giving new books and and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud to their children. The ROR program provides the tools to strengthen children's developmental skills and prepare them for success in school.
Quarterly Mailings
CRHS mails four annual fundraising letters. Volunteers help stuff, seal, and stamp envelopes.
Outreach Events
CRHS occasionally needs volunteers for our general outreach events, such as servers for our annual Sounds of Hope concert in the fall.
Number of Volunteers: 2

Suggestions for a Drive to Benefit this Organization: We are currently looking to update our graphic design software--namely to acquire Photoshop for one of our computers, so if they have any free or slightly used programs available, we would be happy to take them.
We are always willing to accept children's books (in both English and Spanish)--however, they must be in like-new condition.
None currently.
