Description of Volunteer Opportunities/Responsibilities:
The AAC needs volunteers year-round for exhibition [de]installation, preparing materials like gessoing canvases and organizing supplies, staffing of special events such as opening receptions, classroom assistants in children's art courses (particularly in need of high school students during the summer), gallery sitting, and more.


Number of Volunteers: 5-40 (depending on time of year)


Types of Volunteers Needed: Adult-individual; Adult-group; Teen (13 and up)-individual; Teen (13 and up)-group; Family


Training Requirements: None


Hours Needed: Weekday; Weekday Evening; Weekend Day; Weekend Evening; After School.

Ideas for a Team or Group Activity: Depending on the time of year... [de]installation of an exhibit, cleaning and organizing art supply room, staffing a special event such as a family day (workshop for kids, celebration for the whole family) or an opening reception, publicizing our events and programs.


Suggestions for a Drive to Benefit this Organization: Art creation and installation supply drive. Fore example, donations of paint for children's classes, but also paint for gallery walls. Gift certificates to Home Depot, Staples, and Dick Blick Art Materials would all be helpful.
