Description of Volunteer Opportunities/Responsibilities:
Volunteers are needed to:
1. Prepare and serve food for the Homeless Bagged Meal Program
2. Serve food, distribute bedding and monitor the desk at the Emergency Winter Shelter
3. Work with clients and Outreach Staff at Opportunity Place Drop-In Center
4. Provide Administrative Support at A-SPAN Offices
5. Help setup and staff events
6. Serve as companions to clients in permanent supportive housing
7. Serve as mentors to clients getting employment counseling
8. Contribute specialized skills such web design
9. Help with special projects (such as a painting day) as needed


Number of Volunteers: 1,000


Types of Volunteers Needed: Adult-individual; Adult-group; Teen (13 and up)-individual; Teen (13 and up)-group; Youth (12 and under)-individual; Youth (12 and under)-group; Family; Holiday


Training Requirements: None


Hours Needed: Weekday; Weekday Evening; Weekend Day; Weekend Evening; After School.
