Description of Volunteer Opportunities/Responsibilities:
Some volunteer activities include:
visiting with participants,
sharing a skill or talent with participants, such as playing an instrument, choral performance, dance performance, etc.,
helping with administrative tasks, such bulk mailings, filing, etc.,
helping participants enjoy lunch and activities,
bringing in pets for pet therapy sessions,
and more!


Number of Volunteers: 58


Types of Volunteers Needed: Adult-individual; Adult-group; Other


Training Requirements: All volunteers are required to attend a 3 hour orientation session.
Volunteers will need to submit the necessary paperwork before their start date. These forms are available on our website at alzheimersfdc.org.


Hours Needed: Weekday.


Easily Accessible by Public Transportation: Yes

Ideas for a Team or Group Activity: We can use small groups for occasional clean-up days or bulk mailings; additional pro bono help can be used on an as needed basis.


Suggestions for a Drive to Benefit this Organization: An Activity Drive, to collect supplies for the programs with our participants. Needed items include art supplies (watercolors, brushes, colored pencils, large-sized paper), bingo or game prizes (small gifts or tokens), or gift cards to grocery stores, office supply stores or entertainment stores, to purchase needed food, art, or music items for programs.
