Description of Volunteer Opportunities/Responsibilities:
We are always looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals seeking to gain an insight into the inner workings of an established, local nonprofit.

Roles range from short term office support, to event management to semester long internships in our emergency response, communications, and development offices.

Interested candidates should be self-starters who are able to work on their own initiative and will be comfortable carrying out routine tasks as well as using flair and creativity to bring fresh ideas to the team.


Number of Volunteers: 15 in office, hundreds in the field


Types of Volunteers Needed: Adult-individual; Teen (13 and up)-individual; Youth (12 and under)-individual


Training Requirements: None


Hours Needed: Weekday.


Easily Accessible by Public Transportation: Yes


Volunteer Center Affiliations: Volunteer Frederick


Ideas for a Team or Group Activity: Yes, we could use a group of ten or less at our office to support indoor and outdoor projects. Groups of more than ten we can help place with our partner organizations throughout the Norther Virginia area.


Suggestions for a Drive to Benefit this Organization: Depending on the time of year, we often need:
- Gardening tools and supplies
- Painting tools and supplies
- Scrapbooking paper, stickers, and supplies
