NPower Greater DC Region

WISH LIST: $100: virus protection for a community-based technology center; $500: technology assessment and plan for 1 organization; $1,000: hardware and software upgrades for 1 organization.

It’s easy to think that investing in up-to-date technology diverts resources that are better spent delivering programs. But a small purchase and a little know-how can help a nonprofit expand the reach and impact of its work. Since 2003, NPower has offered consulting, training, and ongoing support services to over 150 area nonprofits (including numerous Catalogue charities) at 30 to 50% below market rates. Whether an organization needs a technology assessment; hardware, software, or website design; database development; computer lab support; or training in on-line fundraising, NPower is there to help. Through its coordination and oversight, over a dozen community technology learning centers have received complete computer lab installs or upgrades – and dozens of volunteers had a meaningful experience using their technology expertise. Technology alone doesn’t change the world, but NPower makes it possible for the committed and talented staff of nonprofits to work smarter and deliver more and better services to those in the greatest need. Your contribution to this nonprofit means help to hundreds more.
